Rave Reviews…

I have had the privilege of working with Solomon on several occasions at NAWDP’s Annual Conferences and Youth Symposium. His style is engaging, transparent, inspiring, and thought provoking.  Solomon was the closing keynote speaker at our 2022 Youth Symposium, and he did a phenomenal job.  I surveyed the room as he was speaking, and everyone was actively engaged in his presentation.  Solomon is an outstanding speaker and passionate about his work!  I would absolutely recommend him for anyone looking to add value for their audience.

“Solomon McAuley's presentation to our group of high schoolers was engaging, thought-provoking and highly-interactive.  His humble yet confident delivery captivated the audience for the entire duration of the presentation.  A call to action for students followed by a personal invitation to engage in dialog after the event left a lasting impression on all who attended.  We are most appreciative of Solomon's message and style and hope he will partner with us again in the future.”

Candice Lowder, Director

“Solomon McAuley created a positive impact on students, teachers, and organizers as the keynote speaker this year at the Manufacturing Day event in Stanly County. It was truly impressive his ability to use real-world situations to connect with all the students and then turn those situations into tangible concepts they could easily understand. An eye-opening experience for tomorrow’s workforce.”

“Solomon McAuley is a great speaker who makes a personal connection with his audience and then shares his own story with them so that they know his words are genuine.  He has a humble, caring spirit that draws the audience into his loving arms.  As if that’s not enough, his wonderful sense of humor provides much needed comic relief for those individuals who struggle to find the sunshine through the clouds.”

Mr. Solomon’s speech was very inspiring.  He taught us life lessons and why we should learn from our mistakes! He also taught us growing up is a part of life.  We all struggle with something in life, so picking on the next person isn’t going to make it better.  I personally like to believe no one is better than anyone because in God’s eyes, we’re beautiful!

When Mr. McAuley came to ACEC and did his speech, I listened to everything he said.  He talked about how everyone goes through different things.  He said something along the lines of “you don’t know what has happened to someone or what their situation at home is”.  He had a tough childhood growing up where he lived.  I think what he means is anyone can go through anything at any point in their life.

He told us about some of the things that have happened in this life.  I have felt the same way he felt about not having enough money.  He was going to start selling drugs but didn’t, and I was in that situation before.  He told us that we should hang out with someone who we can benefit from.  He said “why would you hang out with someone who tells you that you are right when you know you are wrong”.  What he means is you need to hang out with someone that will give you constructive criticism and is there to help you.

I took what he said and stored it in my brain because he is a very brilliant man I can identify with.  He has had many obstacles in his life, but he worked through them.  I have had many different things happen to me in my 15 years of living.  I haven’t had a parent in my life in almost 6 years.  I felt what he said meant so much that I put some of his words in my notepad that I take with me wherever I go.  I hope when I grow up I will be successful even after everything I have been through.
