Retool or Retire (March 11, 2024)
This workshop will challenge us as workforce professionals to admit that the workforce as we know it has changed. What worked is not working any longer or not as effective as it was, so we must either retool ourselves or retire ourselves, retool our methods or retire our methods, retool our original plan, or retire our original plan. We must learn to be okay with letting go of what yesterday was, embracing what today is, and preparing for what tomorrow will be.
Youth Engagement the Untold Story (March 12, 2024)
This workshop will involve conversation around basic engagement for youth, emphasizing young people receiving NextGen services. We will also discuss six important E’s to Youth Engagement: Empower, Excite, Educate, Engage, Encourage, and Expose. This workshop will be interactive and beneficial for all staff who work with teens and young adults.
Solomon McAuley will join the Pennsylvania CareerLink team for two days of motivation, inspiration, and unmasking the fears, hesitations, and the potential burn out that comes with life and the workforce.
Solomon, will be presenting a workshop at the 2023 NAWDP Youth Symposium entitled “The True Unmasking.” This workshop is motivating, inspiring, and challenging to those that will attend. This workshop will be eye opening as we jump into what it really means to begin U.N.M.A.S.K.I.N.G.
Solomon McAuley will speak at the 2023 Veterans Training Conference. The conversation will center about relationships and overcoming barriers.
Solomon will spend a day with the team of the Urban League of Portland, OR discussing the Domino Effect of teamwork and leadership. McAuley will also present on “I Am Not My Barrier”.
Solomon, will be presenting a workshop at the 2023 SETA Fall conference entitled “The True Unmasking.” This workshop is motivating, inspiring, and challenging to those that will attend. This workshop will be eye opening as we jump into what it really means to begin U.N.M.A.S.K.I.N.G.
Solomon McAuley will join the SCPa Works for three days of motivation, inspiration, and unmasking the fears, hesitations, and the potential burn out that comes with the journey of workforce.
McAuley will also spend time with the Youth and Young Adult staff inspiring them and discussing his book The 6 E’s to Successful Youth Engagement.
Solomon McAuley will join the WorkSource East vocational rehabilitation program for a morning of motivational as they celebrate their 2023 graduates.
The NC American Legion will host a political based civic enrichment and leadership camp. McAuley will speak about leadership to young men from across NC about leadership, time management, and trendsitting.
An evening of celebration and motivational to the juniors and seniors that are apart of the Rotary Youth Leadership Club. McAuley will be the evening keynote speaker for this awards conference.

Conference Theme: The Genesis of a New Era
McAuley will be the opening and closing Keynote for the 2023 Spring Conference for the NCETA Conference. McAuley will open with a keynote entitled This is Only the beginning! Exploring the reasons why everyone is at the conference, motivating those in attendance to start off with the right mindset, and embrace the three days of networking!
McAuley will also present an additonal workshop and then the closing on Friday May 5, 2023.

The NCWorks Partnership Conference traditionally draws hundreds of Workforce Development Professionals from across the state. Attendees represent labor, state and federal government, education, community-based organizations, community colleges and the private sector. In its 35th year, the Conference continues to offer timely topics and networking opportunities.

The DC Department of Employment Services host a one day leadership conference.
This is an opportunity for front line staff, program managers and business partners to come together to identify challenges, discuss solutions and share tools and resources that will help to strengthen pathways to sustainable employment. Through comprehensive training and support, we can ensure that DC residents have the right skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
